Keep Your Vaccinations Up to Date

Although no vaccinations are required to stay in Portugal, it is nonetheless recommended for your health to maintain current immunizations:

- Diphtheria

- Tetanus

- Poliomyelitis

- Hepatitis A and B

- Tuberculosis

- DTPol

- Measles-Mumps-Rubella (particularly for children)

COVID-19

All travelers wishing to enter Portuguese territory must present one of the following:

- An EU Digital COVID Certificate (vaccination certificate, negative test certificate, or COVID-19 recovery certificate)

- Another vaccination certificate recognized by Portugal (non-EU).

These requirements apply to travelers arriving in Portugal by air, sea, or land.

Healthcare infrastructure in Portugal is of a high standard; however, medical costs can escalate quickly. We recommend obtaining your European Health Insurance Card to benefit from near-complete coverage of hospital and other medical expenses.
